Toreru runs online trademark search, filing and renewal in Japan through its own patent attorney corporation, plus a free trademark search with logo image search, a trademark trading marketplace and, since December 2024, an online patent filing service. Founder Masafumi Miyazaki, a patent attorney who taught himself machine learning, built the software to automate most of the filing work; the company says it filed more trademark applications than any other Japanese firm in 2025.
