Techtivist provides public defender offices with software to collect and search records of police misconduct, helping them challenge officer credibility and push for disclosure. Founder Julie Ciccolini built the first such defender database at The Legal Aid Society in 2015 before founding the company. It was a Startup finalist in the 2026 American Legal Technology Awards.
