Draftwise

Contract drafting and precedent search built on a firm's own past deals, plus a legal ontology product

Draftwise mines the past agreements of a law firm or legal team, so lawyers can draft, redline and research precedent drawn from their own deal history, with playbooks and a knowledge console. In 2026 it launched Ontonomi, a legal ontology product; Ropes & Gray was its founding partner and Jones Day adopted it later, while Orrick, Katten and Gunderson Dettmer also appear as users. Two ex-Palantir engineers and a lawyer started it in 2020, and Y Combinator and Index back it.
