Cicero (Automatise)

Litigation AI from Sydney's Automatise that turns pleadings and document sets into matrices and chronologies

Cicero, built by Sydney start-up Automatise, reads the claim and defence in a dispute, maps every allegation to its response, then works through the evidence to produce chronologies, evidence matrices, document coding and a cast of people for litigation teams. Maddocks rolled it out firm-wide in 2025, Holding Redlich and Russell Kennedy followed, and TransPerfect integrates it into its eDiscovery platform. Joe Rayment is CEO; Automatise won the professional services category of the 2025 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies awards.
